Responsibilities:

1. Design Conceptualization: Develop creative concepts and themes for seasonal collections, drawing inspiration from cultural influences, trends, and brand identity.
2. Sketching and Prototyping: Create detailed sketches and technical drawings of clothing designs, bringing concepts to life and ensuring accuracy in construction.
3. Fabric Selection and Draping: Select appropriate fabrics and materials for each design, considering factors such as texture, drape, and sustainability.
4. Pattern Making: Develop patterns for garments, overseeing the construction process to achieve desired fit and silhouette.
5. Color Coordination: Curate cohesive color palettes that complement design themes and resonate with target demographics, ensuring harmony and visual impact.
6. Sample Development: Oversee the creation of garment samples, collaborating with pattern makers, seamstresses, and textile designers to achieve desired results.
7. Fit Sessions: Conduct fit sessions and make necessary adjustments to prototypes, ensuring garments meet quality and fit standards.
8. Trend Research: Stay abreast of emerging trends, innovations, and consumer preferences in the fashion industry, incorporating relevant insights into design concepts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Proven experience as a Fashion Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing original designs and creative flair.
• Proficiency in sketching, pattern making, and garment construction techniques.
• Knowledge of textiles, fabrics, and sourcing practices, with a focus on sustainability.
